CRA-W/CDC Discipline Specific Mentoring Program
We proudly announce the CRA-W/CDC Discipline-specific Mentoring Program to be held in conjunction with AAMAS 2013. The main goal of this mentoring program is to increase participation of members of underrepresented groups in AAMAS by providing career mentoring advice and discipline-specific overviews of past accomplishments and future research directions.
This program entails a series of planned technical, mentoring and community building sessions led by internationally known researchers at breakfast/lunch/dinner times during the AAMAS conference. Technical sessions will include hot topics and future directions in several areas of software agent systems and their significance to solving real world problems. Mentoring sessions will focus on motivating and preparing students to become interested in and knowledgeable about the research and research paradigms of AAMAS.
Participation in this workshop requires conference registration, attending the doctoral mentoring consortium and three working meal sessions sponsored by CRA-W/CDC. Any student who is a US citizen or permanent resident studying at an US institution may apply to the workshop, but first priority will be given to women and underrepresented minority applicants.
STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR THE WORKSHOP WILL BE REIMBURSED CONFERENCE REGISTRATION AND ALL REASONABLE TRAVEL EXPENSES.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 20, 2013
